At Hardhat, we can’t wait to reveal Deakin University’s ‘Super Happy Prize Time’ game to the future students of Deakin at this weekend’s Open Day.
In the first installation of its kind, this activation comprises of a 15 screen mega video wall set up asa huge game board. Working as a second screen experience, students interact with the video wall using their mobile phone, entering coordinates to win a variety of prizes.
Presented by the Social Media Command and Innovation Centre at Deakin, the activation is integrated with Facebook and showcases the uni’s commitment to technology in a fun, engaging way.
Deakin’s Head of Digital Marketing, Matt Edge said: “Open day is all about prospective students finding out if Deakin is right for them. Deakin not only prides itself in providing innovative learning experiences but also with the creative ways we connect with students. Super Happy Prize Time is a fun example of how Deakin uses digital and social channels to connect.”
Dan Monheit, Director of Strategy at Hardhat Digital agreed: “Any brief that starts with 10,000 tech savvy teens in the same place at the same time is going to be interesting, and with Deakin’s appetite for pushing the boundaries we knew we had to go big. An activation on the scale of Super Happy Prize Time have never been seen at a Uni open day before and it’s sure to make the day extra special for a few hundred lucky winners.”
Super Happy Prize Time launches at Deakin’s Geelong Waurn Ponds campus Sunday Aug 10, followed by Burwood on August 24.
