Hardhat’s innovative Deakin Flight DX3K has been given the stamp of approval by PSFK, elevating it onto the international stage. The project was the first of it’s kind in the world and gave prospective students at Deakin University’s Open Day the opportunity to experience the campus on a whole new level of virtual reality.
Hardhat fitted out drones with 360 degree cameras to capture the campus from a brand new perspective. Rather than presenting it through a standard VR headset, the team built a seven-metre ‘cube’ that projected the footage on all walls and the floor, where students could share the experience with family and friends.
It was a great project for the team to sink their teeth into and definitely worthy of the international recognition on the PSFK website. Check it out here.
